US holidays used in 2026
With the country set to United States and no state selected, the calculator skips these 2026 dates (when a holiday falls on a weekend, the observed weekday is skipped):
- January 1: New Year's Day
- January 19: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- February 16: Washington's Birthday
- May 25: Memorial Day
- June 19: Juneteenth
- July 3: Independence Day (observed, since July 4 is a Saturday)
- September 7: Labor Day
- October 12: Columbus Day
- November 11: Veterans Day
- November 26: Thanksgiving Day
- December 25: Christmas Day
Counting from December 31, 2025 through December 31, 2026 gives 250 business days: 261 weekdays minus the 11 holidays above. (Prefilled above.)
State holidays and company days off
Enter a state code such as NY or TX in the region box to include that state's public holidays as well. Days many companies close that are not federal holidays, such as the day after Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve, are not included by default; add them in the company holidays box.

The same calculation is available as a JSON API, so you can run it inside an accounting, ERP or workflow system. Get a free API key (1,000 requests a month) or read the OpenAPI spec.
Holiday data comes from an open-source dataset and may be incomplete, especially for regional, ad-hoc or newly declared holidays. Check legally or financially critical deadlines against an official source.
