What Net 15 means
"Net 15" means the invoice is due 15 calendar days after the invoice date. Weekends inside the period count; if day 15 itself is a weekend or holiday, the usual practice is to move to the next business day.
Worked examples (United States holidays)
- Invoice dated Friday, October 30, 2026: 15 days later is Saturday, November 14, so the due date moves to Monday, November 16, 2026. (Prefilled above.)
- Invoice dated Tuesday, November 10, 2026: due Wednesday, November 25, 2026, the day before Thanksgiving.
Net 15 vs. Net 10 business days
Some suppliers use business-day terms instead, such as Net 10 BD. For an invoice dated November 10, 2026, Net 10 BD also lands on November 25, because Veterans Day (November 11) and two weekends are skipped. See Net 30 business days for how business-day terms work.
The same calculation is available as a JSON API, so you can run it inside an accounting, ERP or workflow system. Get a free API key (1,000 requests a month) or read the OpenAPI spec.
Holiday data comes from an open-source dataset and may be incomplete, especially for regional, ad-hoc or newly declared holidays. Check legally or financially critical deadlines against an official source.
