What Net 60 means

"Net 60" means the full invoice amount is due 60 days after the invoice date. Unless the contract says otherwise, these are calendar days: weekends and holidays inside the period still count. The invoice date is day 0.

Only the final date is usually adjusted. If day 60 falls on a weekend or public holiday, the common convention is to move the due date to the next business day. You can change that rule in the calculator.

Frequently asked questions

Does Net 60 include weekends and holidays?

Yes. Net 60 normally counts 60 calendar days. Weekends and holidays inside the period count; only the final date is commonly moved if it is not a business day.

Is Net 60 the same as two months?

No. Net 60 is exactly 60 days, which can be a day or two different from two calendar months.

What if the Net 60 due date is a Saturday?

With the next-business-day convention it moves to the following Monday, or later if that Monday is a holiday.
